Mustache transplant and beard
A beard transplant is a surgical procedure that involves transplanting hair follicles from one part of the body (usually the back of the scalp or other body areas) to the beard area. The procedure is designed to address facial hair thinning, patchiness, or the absence of a beard, allowing individuals to achieve a fuller and more defined beard.
The process of a beard transplant is similar to other hair transplantation techniques, such as Direct hair implant (DHI).
Here are the key steps involved in a beard transplant

Donor Area Selection
The surgeon will identify a suitable donor area on the body where hair follicles are harvested. In most cases, scalp hairs are chosen as donor hair since they closely match the texture and growth pattern of beard hair.

Hair Follicle Extraction
Individual hair follicles are carefully extracted from the donor area. This involves using a small punch-like instrument to remove hair follicles one by one.

Recipient Site Creation
Tiny incisions or recipient sites are made in the beard area where the transplanted hair will be placed. The surgeon will pay close attention to the direction and angle of the transplanted hairs to achieve a natural-looking beard.

Hair Transplantation
The extracted hair follicles are then implanted into the recipient sites on the beard area. The surgeon will strategically place each hair follicle to create a well-defined and aesthetically pleasing beard shape.
